DRINK OF CHOICE

Have you ever wondered what stereotype is associated with your drink of choice? Legend has it that certain groups of people are more likely to order certain types of drinks. Okay I lied, no legend says that but I digress. It’s Friday and as you head on for happy hour, here’s a look at the unproven yet abnormally true personality traits of alcohol lovers. If you’re 18 or younger, this is your cue to exit stage! Thank you for your time ha!

1.       Whisky

This is one of the most popular drink of choice also said to be the healthiest as it contains no sugar or carbs. (Don’t quote me on this, I’m merely a writer not a scientist). People who drink whisky tend to be a bit laid back and lean towards the classier side of life. They are quite knowledgeable on the different brands but tend to stick to their ‘poison’. For whisky drinkers it’s all about relaxing after a long work week. Bonus tip: whisky men are top tier!

 Vodka

This drink has always received the worst press and there’s no one to blame but its lovers. See, if you’re at a bar and happen to see a loud and ratchet human crying over their ex, they are probably drinking vodka. If there’s a fight at the corner of the street I could bet on my life a vodka lover is involved. (Not my life though yikes!)They usually are the life of the party and for them it’s go big or go home!

Gin

This drink has gained so much popularity in recent years. It seems to be a middle ground between the harsh whisky hangovers and the debauchery that comes with Vodka; a perfect balance. Gin is definitely a trendy drink amongst millennials. Gin lovers are also very specific about what tonic to pair with what gin. They are a happy and calm lot that are just there for the vibes and to have a good time. They are not the best tippers but they are somewhere on the tipping scale.

Beer

Beer is literally the world’s most popular drink, consumed by all and sundry. Its comparatively lower alcohol content makes it a great choice for moderate drinkers. Beer lovers, however, always have an excuse to drink. They secretly want to drink it at a board meeting with their manager rather than tea or coffee. They are also the most resistant to change and only drink the same beer brand for years.

As you indulge in your weekend shenanigans make sure to keep in mind that excessive consumption of alcohol is harmful to your health and practice safe drinking. Don’t drink and drive! Cheers!
